Anthony: There's something I have to tell you... Girlfriend: What is it? Anthony: I love you. Girlfriend: I have to tell you something too... Anthony: What is it? Girlfriend: *Looks just like Anthony and sounds like him* I am you! Anthony: AH! D:
I think you did a great job with this. The sense of fear at seeing his (her?) reflection, knowing that the "stranger" he's looking at is in fact him. The sense of fear in being something he doesn't understand and not knowing why this has happened or what it means and will mean for his life and existence.
It's an interesting and I admit, much more realistic reaction then the sort of instant fun one might associate with a mew tf, something I admit I'm guilty of.
another awesome piece and i love the fact you gave mew claws~ since shes usually that 'too cute pokemon' its cool to see the cute pokemon that can defend themselves (even thought thats not what your picture it showing XD)
So is this another transformation artwork? It's pretty fancy and cute, and you give Mew a few creative spins from the original model. What I don't understand is the presence of claws on one hand and their absence on the other. I also like the subtle sad eyebrows.
At the time, I just felt like drawing a close-up of a sad Mew, and... this is what came out. I guess you can say it's a transformation artwork, though I afterwards thought of it more of a "persona" portrait. Don't really know what to make of it.
I think I meant to have its right hand closed inwards a bit, thus obscuring one's view of the claws, but I don't think I depicted that very well...
It does seem all of your artwork is tagged with "transformation", as it continues to show up in my particular feed of that. But that doesn't matter, it's merely another reminder of your grand work. You're welcome for the words!
